Tanks, Pressure Pumps and Rain Water Harvesting

Tank Stands

The Tanks are placed on a reinforced concrete slab 200 mm thick with a 20 mpa strength, the reason being water is very heavy (5000 lt tank when full will weigh over 5 Tons) and to be safe, must be placed on a solid platform. The tank will also be attached to the concrete with No 8 wire to stop it moving when empty.

Rain water is a free resource. Why not store it? Use it or lose it.

Over the past few years we have become aware of the increasing demand for  tanks by our customers, whether it be to supply water to their gardens, domestic water backup solutions and more commercially in harvesting rainwater to fill cisterns and urinals.

We have installed many tanks for Rain Water harvesting and water storage solutions in poor water pressure regions and for municipal water cuts common to the country.

Why do we need to save water?
Less than 3% of the planet’s water is fresh and drinkable - more than 97% is salty. Therefore, no matter which part of the world we live in, we have to take
water conservation
seriously particularly as the population is exploding whilst the amount of water available remains constant.

GO GREEN AND SAVE EVERY DROP

We have various options available for residential use;

 Eco-Green Basic

This is the easiest way to start harvesting water at home.  The tank has a tap attached for filling buckets or watering cans.  This can be used to fill pools or water gardens with a hosepipe but is dependent on gravity.

Price and options include:

750 lt Slim line tank or 2500 lt tank

Stainless Steel Sieve

Gutter fitting

First Flush Diverters

Tap Connections

 Labor cost

Concrete tank stand with holding anchor wires

Cleaning of gutters, if blocked with leaves and or dust (cleaned by physically removing the leaves and removing the dust with a high pressure water cleaner)

Eco-Green Stage 1

This option has larger tanks and a pressure pump which can be used to water gardens, fill swimming pools and wash cars. This is also easily upgrade-able to the Eco-Green Stage 2 or 3 system.

Price and options include:

2500 lt – 5000 lt Tanks (slim line tank options also available)

Electric pressure Pump (only operates when taps are turned on)

Pump Cover,

First Flush Diverter Fitted

First flush Diverters. The simplest first-flush diverter is a PVC standpipe. The stand pipe fills with water first during a rainfall event; the balance of water is routed to the tank. The standpipe is drained continuously via a pinhole. Cleaning of the standpipe is accomplished by removing the PVC cover and removing collected debris when full depending on the number of trees closeby.

You can start with Eco-Green Basic and progress to Eco-Green Stage 3 over time when you see how well the system works and how much money you can save.

The next water saving device is the Backwash filter.

 Pool backwash filter

This is a very new concept;instead of pumping your backwash

down the drain you can now filter it through a dual filter system and reuse

it in your pool. The backwash water is pumped into the filters and it will

drain back into the pool saving you thousands of liters a year.                                                                                         The filter material will only have to be changed once a year at a minimal cost.
